Shangri-la Hotels & Resorts Vice President for Sales & Marketing Ms. Peggy Angeles was recently proclaimed the MABUHAY GOLD- HOTELIER OF THE YEAR AWARDEE by the Association of Human Resources Managers in the Hospitality Industry (AHRM) during the 14th MABUHAY AWARDS held at the Dusit Thani Manila last November 9.

Peggy started her hotel career with Hyatt International, working in sales and marketing for the Hyatt Regency Manila and the Hyatt Terraces Baguio. In 1990, she was poached by the first Shangri-la Hotel in the Philippines, the EDSA Shangri-la Manila were she was appointed Director of Sales & Marketing. As Vice President, she directs all marketing and sales efforts of the Shangri-la Hotels in Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar, Australia and Fiji Islands.

Peggy has also been appointed as Company Champion for Personnel Development & Training of their marketing talents.

Peggy Angeles is on her 19th year with the Shangri-la Hotels & Resorts.
