Chef See Cheong Yan of Endurun CollegesChef See Cheong Yan is the Culinary Director of the Enderun Colleges, one of our country's premiere hospitality and culinary schools located at the McKinley Hill in Fort Bonifacio.

Chef See started his culinary career in the Philippines as a Sous Chef at the Hyatt Regency Manila in 1985.  He was hired by the first Shangri-la hotel in the country, the EDSA Shangri-la Manila in 1991 to open what was to be the most talked about hotel coffee shop in the metropolis, The Garden Cafe.  Chef See was eventually promoted to Executive Sous Chef in the same hotel.

Chef See was Executive Chef of the Philippines biggest resort-leisure facility Tagaytay Highlands before joining the Enderun.

Chef See is a Hotel graduate of the famous Le Roche Institute in Switzerland.

Fil-Archipelago's Carlo GomezCarlo Gomez, a respected hotelier has been appointed COUNTRY GENERAL MANAGER of Fil-Archipelago Hospitality Inc.,  the new hotel management company fully owned by real estate giant Filinvest Corporation.

Carlo was General Manager for several hotels in Indonesia managed by the Aston Hotel Group since 2005 before this appointment.  Prior to his Indonesia assignment Carlo was the first General Manager of the Fraser Place in Salcedo Village, an upscale Service Residence in the Makati district.

Carlo has worked for big international hotel chains like The Regent, The Sheraton and The Mandarin and has over 30 years hospitality management experience.

As Country General Manager Carlo is tasked to open the Group's hotels and resorts throughout the Philippines starting with their triple-A resort in Mactan, Cebu called Crimson Resort Mactan.  Their next opening will be a 400 room businessman's hotel in the heart of Cebu City, fronting the Ayala Mall.  Scheduled opening is October 2010.

Manila Diamond's Vannessa SuatengcoVanessa Ledesma Suatengco is a proud Filipina, one of the few who has reached the top most post in a luxury hotel environment.

Since her appointment as General Manager of the swanky Diamond Hotel Manila in 2009,  many good things have been happening in this hotel that opened it's doors to the public in 1993.  Even the long time staff of the hotel feel energized with her kind of "hands-on management"  and dynamic leadership.

Vanessa was Resident Manager of the EDSA Shangri-la Hotel for 7 years before this promotion.  Her experience in Shangri-la, one of the world's favorite hotel chains, has given her a very wide perspective in hotel management.

Vanessa has another unique quality in her - a deep and sincere sense for the good of all her people - that is why they love her at the Diamond. 

Vanessa was the recipient of the HOTELIER OF THE YEAR - MABUHAY GOLD AWARD in 2008, given to her by the Association of Human Resources Managers in the Hospitality Industry (AHRM).

Shangri-la's Peggy AngelesShangri-la Hotels & Resorts Vice President for Sales & Marketing Ms. Peggy Angeles was recently proclaimed the MABUHAY GOLD- HOTELIER OF THE YEAR AWARDEE by the Association of Human Resources Managers in the Hospitality Industry (AHRM) during the 14th MABUHAY AWARDS held at the Dusit Thani Manila last November 9.

Peggy started her hotel career with Hyatt International, working in sales and marketing for the Hyatt Regency Manila and the Hyatt Terraces Baguio. In 1990, she was poached by the first Shangri-la Hotel in the Philippines, the EDSA Shangri-la Manila were she was appointed Director of Sales & Marketing. As Vice President, she directs all marketing and sales efforts of the Shangri-la Hotels in Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar, Australia and Fiji Islands.

Peggy has also been appointed as Company Champion for Personnel Development & Training of their marketing talents.

Peggy Angeles is on her 19th year with the Shangri-la Hotels & Resorts.
